Jahlil Okafor is a a 19 year old  NBA star in the making. He was drafted last year as the third overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft. He is an amazing basketball player. But he has made a few terrible decisions in the last few weeks.

Okafor presented a fake I.D. at Misconduct Tavern in Center City, Philadelphia. He was refused service. He is 6’11 and 270 pounds. Okafor is “a big guy,” “famous,” and “pretty easy to recognize.”

A few weeks later, Okafor was stopped for speeding on the Ben Franklin Bridge while going 108 miles per hour..

Last week, Okafor got in a physical altercation outside a Boston nightclub called Old City nightclub on Oct. 4 after 2 a.m. The same night, he had a gun pointed at him.

NBA fan Brandon Walker said, “Come on man. You are a famous athlete, people look up to you as a role model. I know that he is a young kid. Heck he is only two years older than me. But he needs to be a little smarter than that.”

I agree 100% with Brandon. He needs to be more responsible with what he chooses to do in his life.

It is good to know that the 76ers have it under control and suspended him for the next two games. I agree with the punishment made by the organization. I do believe that Okafor realizes what he did was wrong and he did apologize.

Coach Mike Krzyzewski, one of the best NCAA coaches ever said, “He is one of the most loving, good kids who has ever been on this earth.”

I want to believe Coach K with this statement but if he is such a good kid, why is he be getting into fights at nightclubs? When alcohol is consumed, people tend to act differently.

All I know is that Jahlil Okafor needs to be a little smarter in the future for the sake of his career.
