iPhone 7, Waterproof or Not?

Officer of Apple Inc. Jony Ive says that the iPhone 7 is only water resistant. Many videos have proven that it is more than just resistant. YouTube videos are constantly being uploaded about how the iPhone 7 is actually waterproof but Apple says it’s only resistant just to save them from any rare occurrences. The videos consist of the iPhone 7 being put under water completely for 30 minutes. When they take the phone out of the water there is no change or water damage. This grabbed the attention of many smartphone review channels and they think the iPhone 7 is waterproof as well. Apple is yet to admit it because they’re sticking the original slogan of it only being resistant so they’re not held reliable if someone decides to submerge their phone in water and it breaks. ‘EverythingApplePro’ is a Youtube channel that does reviews about new technology and new smartphones. They did a review on the new Galaxy S7 compared to the iPhone 7. Samsung claims that the S7 is waterproof and Apple says the iPhone 7 is just water resistant. ‘EverythingApplePro’ puts these two phones to the test by putting them in a metal bucket and lowering them into a lake 35 feet deep for a few minutes. The outcome was unexpected. The so called “waterproof Galaxy S7” turned off and wouldn’t turn back on. The iPhone 7 had barely any water damage in the screen and did not shut off. So is the iPhone more than just resistant?
