Question 1: What grade are you in?

18.5% were freshmen, 28.5% were sophomores, 28.5% were juniors, and 24.6% were seniors.

This question was only meant for statistical purposes, so when I write a larger article, I can pick through individual responses and get additional statistics per grade.

Question 2: Have you ever been to a Broadway show?

72.1% said yes, 26.4% said no, and 1.6% said unsure.

Question 3: Have you seen a Broadway show in the past year?

56.2% said no, 43.8% said yes.

This question was interesting to watch, it stayed near a 50/50 split (at some points it WAS 50/50) for pretty much the whole time the survey was live.

Question 4: Do you attend school performances?

69% said yes, 2.3% said only the drama, 7.8% said only the musical, and 20.9% said no.

It’s nice to see the amount of support for the arts in our school!

Question 5: Have you taken a theatre class?

24.6% said yes, 0.8% said yes (but only for arts credits), 31.5% said no (but they would), and 43.1% said no.

Question 6: If no, why not?

28.3% said no room in schedule, 28.3% said no interest, 14.2% said other, and the rest of the responses to that question were people who said they have taken a theatre class.

Question 7: If yes, why?

29.3% said interest, 0.9% said credits, 3.4% said they wanted to get over stage fright, 0.9% said friends told them to, 6% said other, and the rest of the responses to that question were people who said they haven’t taken a theatre class.

Question 8: Would you ever participate in a show?

44.6% said yes, 13.8% said only as stage crew or on tech, 18.5% said maybe, and 23.1% said no.

Question 9: Do you think theatre is beneficial (to the individual or the community)?

85.4% said yes, 10% said maybe, and 4.6% said no.

Question 10 was asking to explain why it was or wasn’t beneficial, I’ll go in depth on that in my D19.
