Introducing New Staff

After the recent retirement of former Assistant Principle Robert Perkins, the West Morris Central Community now welcomes Mr. Edward Braun, a respected educator who is now filling the position as our new Assistant Principle.

Due to his Father’s professional obligations in the United States Military, during his early life, Mr. Braun had lived in a variety of states including, Alaska, North Carolina, and Georgia, although Pittsburgh is the location that he truly considers home.

Majoring in chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Braun began his first career at a research lab specializing in sequencing and synthesizing DNA. Although, successfully employed at the lab, he didn’t stop there. Mr. Braun also received a Masters at Duquesne University in secondary science education.

After receiving this degree, Mr. Braun then taught Chemistry for about four years, at this very school. Yes, once a staff member here before, Mr. Braun now returns to offer his professionalism in administration. After then receiving yet another degree, Mr. Braun mastered in Administration at New Jerseys’ own Rutgers University and interviewed for the Assistant Principle position when the opportunity was presented.

Mr. Braun voiced his enthusiasm about the West Morris Community expressing that,

“From an administrative perspective, it’s exciting to see students that are so motivated academically and teachers that respond so passionately to educational values”.

When asked about future plans or ideas for the school, Mr. Braun shared his motivations to beneficially influence the school district, tweaking any factor that provides to limit our community’s success.

With Mr. Braun now providing to represent a strong figure in our district, it is assuring to know that students’ in the years to come will be graced to have yet another admirable educator in the community.
