Justin Bieber Gets Arrested

At about 4 a.m. on Thursday, January 23rd in Miami, Florida, Justin Bieber was arrested for DUI with an expired license and drag racing. According to NBC 6 South Florida, Bieber was driving a rented yellow Lamborghini with friend Khalil, both failing a sobriety test.

E! News was told that advisers have been “encouraging him to go to rehab for awhile, but he won’t listen to his team.” Recently, Bieber has been hanging out with alleged “troublemakers” named Lil Za, Milk, and Lil Twist. Between strip clubs, egging a neighborhood home, and possession of marijuana, these new  friends have been a bad influence on Bieber.

As for his most recent run in with the law, the 19 year old spent several hours in jail following his arrest. In the city of Miami, the minimum amount of time a person can be held in custody, in terms of DUI, is 8 hours. Regardless of bail, which was likely to be short of $10,000, Bieber was forced to stay in the county jail.

Miami’s criminal offense attorney shared that Bieber’s charges were most likely to be dismissed. Due to the fact that this was his first offense, the singer will be subjected to a probation of 6 – 12 months rather than jail time.

Since the incident, Bieber visited Panama with manager Scooter Braun, and is now back in Los Angeles. A source tells E! News that amidst the DUI troubles, Bieber has been doing “ok” and has been “spending time with family and friends.”

Now, about a week after the drama in Miami, Bieber has been reported not guilty of driving under the influence. With that in mind, he’s not off the hook quite yet. Over 180,000 United States citizens are in favor of the petition of deportation for Bieber. The Canadian native’s unpopularity has gone up, enough for some American’s to protest Bieber’s green card. Under President Obama’s “We the People” platform, says CNN, the White House must respond in a “timely fashion.” Although the chances are “very slim”, the Obama administration must review the petition.

Will the singer be kicked out of the USA? We shall see!
