Coaches Dispel Schedule Rumors

West Morris Central football coaches dispel rumors about home game schedule during the 2014 season in an exclusive with the Paw.
Recently, rumors about the Wolfpack football schedule have been circulating, saying that our team only has four home games this year to penalize the student section for rowdy behavior during last season.
In an interview with Coach Hennelly he stated that, “Those rumors are completely untrue. The student section last year was phenomenal and well behaved.”
After a loud and intense game against Morristown High School, the WMC student section rushed the field out of excitement for victory and an advancement to the next state game. We believe students assumed that they were being punished for rushing the field with a shorter home schedule.
After talking to Mr. Schilling, he explained that “The conference determines the schedule, its on a 2 year matrix.”
Next season we’ll have five home games. The year after we’ll have four home games and so on. The schedule alternates like this because there are only nine games in a season and it would be unfair for one team to have more home games than another every season.
So this year we just have to make the most of our home games. Go Pack!
