“I got surgery on my leg on March 15th, 2016, because I broke it. And I got two screws, and the surgery lasted like 3 hours. I couldn’t feel it for like a week after that. Then on September 24th, 2019, I got surgery on my shoulder cause I tore my labrum, and it lasted like two and a half hours. So, after surgery, I woke up and I had a seizure because I was allergic to the anesthesia. Then the medicine they gave me for the seizure, I was allergic to, so my throat closed, and then I had to go back to surgery to get intubated. Then we went to the hospital, and I had to spend the night in the hospital.” (Carolina Booth, Sophomore). |
