Congratulations to senior Cade Zeolla! He has been nominated for May Athlete of the Month for his outstanding efforts in pole vaulting for the WMC Track and Field Team.
Zeolla participates in both spring and winter track and competes in pole vaulting during both seasons. He recently won the North 2 Group 2 pole vault on Saturday, May 17. Zeolla pole vaulted at 16 feet, 5 inches! With these numbers, Zeolla broke the school, county and state record all in one. Congratulations to Cade!
Zeolla has been pole vaulting for four years, and he gives credit to both “Coach Landshoff and a private trainer who is the Rutgers coach…they both helped me a lot.”Zeolla further commented that although track and field is enjoyable in itself, the experience is fun as well. He said that his favorite times is “the whole experience of going to meets, and the bus rides with really fun people.” In addition, if Zeolla was able to advise his freshmen self on thing, it would be to trust the process.
By trusting the process, Zeolla has been able to secure a spot on the track and field team at the University of Pennsylvania! Here, Zeolla will be pole vaulting and continuing his athletic and academic career. Congratulations, Cade and best of luck in the future!
