Senior Quinn Commerford has been named May female Athlete of the Month for her outstanding contributions to Unified sports at WMC! Currently, she plays Unified Flag Football and Track, and she is also involved in Unified Basketball and the Unified Stars club.
Commerford joined Unified sports to connect more with her school and try something new. She found a supportive community where everyone competes together while forming friendships. “One word I would use to describe myself is grateful,” she said. “Unified is inclusive; everyone who joins or meets the Unified group finds a welcoming and friendly family.”
Looking ahead, Commerford plans to attend Ohio State University where she will be apart of the Honors College to major in history on the pre-law track. She aims to stay involved with a local chapter of Special Olympics and play club volleyball at OSU.
Congratulations to Commerford for her achievements and for being a role model in her community!
