Fun Activities to do in Fall
When thinking about fall, many people think of pumpkin picking, Halloween, apple picking, apple cider, leaves changing color, football games, and the start of the colder weather. Personally, fall is my favorite season, I love attending football games on Friday nights and going to the farm on Saturday afternoon.
Driving through Long Valley when the leaves are changing colors is a beautiful sight that I’m sure everyone in Long Valley loves. Not too cold, but not too hot describes the weather during the fall months. When you wake up it is chilly so you dress warm, then by the afternoon it is 70 degrees!
One of the most popular things about fall is Halloween! Dressing up, trick or treating, and having a good time with friends. There is just something about fall that people love.
Living in Long Valley, we’ve grown up with so many farms in and around town. Alstedes, Orts, Donaldson’s, Mellicks, and many more! There are so many places to go on the weekends to do activities such as hay rides, corn mazes, apple picking, and pumpkin picking.
Even better is the haunted things to do around here as Halloween approaches! Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey has Fright Fest which would be fun and scary to do on a weekend in October! There are many farms that do haunted hayrides and corn mazes on certain dates, mostly weekends. There is a haunted house called Bane in Livingston, New Jersey. That everyone says is the scariest place they have ever been to. One review even says “Bane is by far the best haunted house/zombie apocalypse I’ve ever been to! This experience was both terrifying and thrilling. If you’re craving a good scare and a great time, this is the place to go!”http://thisisitjersey.com/2013/10/whatsnew/5-pumpkin-picking-places-jersey
Living in Long Valley gives us access to so many things to fulfill our time in the fall. We should appreciate and be grateful for this because many people in cities and urban areas do not get this. I hope everyone enjoys fall and all the excitement and activities that come with it!
