As prom season approaches, the question of who buys the tickets has resurfaced this year. It is no longer safe to assume that the boy will pay for his date’s ticket. With the high costs of prom ($95 per bid for underclassmen, $50 for seniors), its expensive for one person to buy a ticket, let alone two. Tradition says it is the boys responsibility to pay, but where do you draw the line? If you and your date are just friends, should you expect to them to buy the ticket?
