The Ultimate Guide to Christmas Coffee Drinks

The+Ultimate+Guide+to+Christmas+Coffee+Drinks

Each year, there is plenty of debate as to when the holiday season officially begins. For some, the decorations absolutely cannot go up until after Thanksgiving. For others, the holiday festivities start at the stroke of midnight after Halloween. However, for many, the holiday season doesn’t begin until their favorite coffee chains swap out their pumpkin spice lattes for those of peppermint, gingerbread, and eggnog.

The arrival of holiday beverages is highly anticipated each year, with Starbucks and its instantly recognizable red cups serving as the driving force behind the event. However, they are not the only coffee chain that knows a thing or two about holiday beverages. In fact, many other national and local chains have worked on perfecting their seasonal menus as well.

Dunkin’ Donuts: With over 13,000 locations nationwide, Dunkin’ Donuts is one of the largest coffee chains in the world. Each year, the chain strives to offer a personalized touch to its holiday menu, while also incorporating some trendy favorites. WMC junior Madison Booth is proud to call herself a “loyal Dunkin’ supporter,” as she believes that they offer “better options to choose from.” The nationwide coffee chain has come out with many festive favorites over the years, including the Cookie Butter Cold Brew and the Peppermint Mocha Latte.

Starbucks: Starbucks’ line of holiday beverages has an almost cult-like following that takes over social media as soon as the calendar flips to November. “There’s nothing better than going to Starbucks in early November and enjoying a warm holiday drink in one of their red holiday cups,” explains junior Audrey Guidea. Long-running fan favorites include the Caramel Brulée Latte, Peppermint Mocha, and Chestnut Praline Latte. The iconic coffee chain has certainly one of the most talked-about lineups of beverages each holiday season, and that trend doesn’t show any signs of slowing in the near future.

The Coffee Potter: According to a Best of NJ list, The Coffee Potter, located at 24 Schooleys Mountain Road, is one of New Jersey’s best coffee shops. The Coffee Potter serves up hot and iced coffees, Nitro cold brews on tap, and other coffee shop classic snacks, like cookies, muffins, and more. The shop also offers a variety of other drink options, including a hot chocolate freeze, smoothies, and teas. This holiday season, The Coffee Potter introduced their new Pistachio White Mocha, which is serving all of the Christmas vibes! “I love The Coffee Potter,” says WMC junior Morgan Forlenza. “The environment is so warm and welcoming, and their drinks are delicious!”

Whether you enjoy your holiday beverages spiced with cinnamon or with a twist of peppermint, these drink locations are sure to make the most wonderful time of the year even more lovely!
