The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Review

Recently, the second installment of the very popular The Hunger Games was being premiered worldwide.

A year has gone by since the original came to theatres, and fans have been eagerly awaiting this movie’s arrival. After attending the premiere last night, fans and I can all agree that it was worth the wait.

This film focused on the effect Katniss and Peeta’s partnership and winnings had on the citizens of Panem. They saw the group, more so the courageous Katniss, as a sign of the impoverished Districts and an end to the dreadful Hunger Games. On the Victory Tour, rebellions are sparked by the brave individuals who aren’t afraid of the repercussions.

That being said, we fans, say goodbye to some of our most beloved characters. Fortunately, we are introduced to new characters that push the limits of sanity and help our favorite couple fight the dictatorship of a Capitol.

Catching Fire was jam-packed with beautiful cinematography, creative ensembles, and outstanding acting by the entire cast. The action keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole movie and is brilliantly similar to the ever popular novel. Jennifer Lawrence, once again, does an incredible job portraying Katniss Everdeen, and brings even more attitude this time around.

I definitely urge you to go out and see this incredible movie, but first make sure to read the great series!
