Gone Too Soon: Losing Paul Walker

Sadly, America lost a beloved actor on Saturday afternoon, November 31st, due to a fatal car accident in Santa Clarita, California. The 40 year old “Fast and Furious” star was a passenger in friend Roger Rodas’ Porsche, on a test drive, after a benefit for Walker’s foundation. “Reach Out Worldwide”. E! News confirmed that both Rodas, 38 and Walker tragically died of multiple traumatic injuries, as well as thermal injuries for Walker.

Co-stars of the popular actor have been sharing their thoughts on their dear friend through interviews and social media. Vin Diesel, a close friend of the whole Walker family, has been visiting Walker’s mom. Diesel posted on Facebook, “I thought they needed my strength, but realised when I got there and broke down before his family, that it was I who needed theirs,”.

Another friend from the “Fast and Furious” series, Tyrese Gibson, reportedly cried at the scene of the fan-made memorial surrounding the scene of the crash, Sky News says. The entertainer Ludacris, who played alongside Walker in the film franchise, posted his thoughts for the world of Twitter. He said, “”Your humble spirit was felt from the start. Wherever you blessed your presence you always left a mark, we were like brothers.”

Around the world, fans, friends and family have been coping with the shocking death that came too soon. Nothing but support has come out of the situation, and hopefully affected citizens can properly celebrate his life through respect.

As for the rest of the series, “Fast & Furious Six” is due to come out on DVD on Tuesday, December 10th. Portions of the proceeds are being donated to Walker’s charity organization. As for the seventh and last installment, filming has been postponed for the moment.
