On March 6, Harry Styles released his new album called Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. It was his first album since Harry’s House which was released in 2022. This album features 12 songs. The opening track on the album called Aperture which was originally released as a single on January 22. The first couple of weeks this album was released it sold over 1 million copies. It has over 140 million streams in just his home country the United Kingdom.
This album has been getting hate and love from people but it has over 63 million streams. Emily Baptiste, a freshman and a fan of Styles, thinks this album could have been better. Her initial thought was the album was going to be great since his other albums were and he had a long break before this album. However, that was not her final thought. She thinks it was “messy” and the lyrics were weird. “The album just is not to my taste. And I think the lyrics don’t really have any emotional value” Baptiste said. Her favorite song on this album is Ready, Steady, Go. Baptiste believes this is the only song that the lyrics weren’t weird. Her least favorite song was his single Aperture because it was very repetitive.
Emerson Trubela, a freshman and a very big fan of Styles, was very excited to listen to his album. Her favorite songs from the album are American Girls and Paint By Numbers because she thinks they are energetic. Trubela believes this album is different from others because it has a different vibe. “ It was his 1st album back after a long time, so the album was very, bittersweet if that makes sense.” Trubela said. There wasn’t a specific song that she didn’t like but she preferred other albums over his new one.
