Grace Roberts, a freshman at WMC, was picked as January’s student of the month for showing empathy. She always made sure that everyone is included no matter what and treats everyone equally. “I treated everyone respectfully and especially made sure that new students weren’t left out” Roberts said. 

Avery Rapel, a sophomore at WMC, was picked for January’s student of the month. She felt good to be picked and she was surprised. She said she looks at everything with a “positive mindset” and she treats everyone with kindness.

Lucy Mestrandrea, a junior at WMC, was also chosen as January’s student of the month. She feels very honored to get this achievement and encourages others to always be kind. “Everyone deserves respect, I always say hi to everyone in the hallway no matter what mood I’m in” Mestrandrea said. 

Delaney Higgins, a senior at WMC, was January’s student of the month. She could not be reached for comment.
