Junior Aiden Hester has been named as one of November’s Athletes of the Month for his contributions on the numerous Unified teams. Hester was invited to play for the Unified team towards the end of his freshman year which later allowed him to play for the New York Red Bulls MLS team, a highlight of his career along with the NJSIAA Unified Basketball Championship. “My favorite part about being on any team is being with my friends or younger brothers but also being able to meet new people and winning,” Hester said.
He began his athletics career at the age of three living in California, starting with competitive swimming. “There will always be someone better, stronger, or faster than you. However, never give up; continue to work hard and push yourself to your limits. Trust that every day you follow your plan brings you closer to your goals,” Hester added. After high school Hester is looking to work for his family’s business and possibly becoming an assistant coach for the Unified Sports team here at West Morris Central.
Senior Juliana Stingle has been named as one of November’s athletes of the month for her efforts on the WMC girls’ volleyball team this season as a setter. “My family is a volleyball family… It is always the topic at any family gathering. This sport has been my whole life for a very very long time. It has introduced me to some of my closest friends, my best friend, and people who I now call my family.” Stingle stated. She adds that it is the highlight of her time in high school, “From the games to practices to just being with the girls, it makes every single day 10 times better.”

Stingle’s biggest achievement so far has been the NJAC American Conference First Team These are players recognized for their outstanding performance throughout the season, with the conference awards typically announced in November after the season concludes. As a senior Stingle is figuring out where to take her talents after high school. “I am currently in the process of making my decision for where I am going to play in college (or if I am still going to). While I make that decision, I am still playing club as well as coaching some of the younger club teams.”
A big congratulations to both West Morris Central’s Athletes of the month. Not only for their athletic prowess but also for their P.R.I.D.E. in the Pack!
