Jack LaBar, a senior at WMC, was chosen by his teachers to be student of the month for being passionate and displaying his P.R.I.D.E in the Pack. He explained how he was honored to be named September student of the month but was surprised at the same time. He established how he was very kind to his teachers and his peers even without the expectation of getting chosen.“I’d like to think that I treated them fairly well. I was excited to be recognized” LaBar stated. Even after this accomplishment, he will continue to show respect and passion at WMC. “However, I don’t think anything changed in my mind or my behavior” stated LaBar.
Sydney Hammer is a junior here at WMC. She was chosen for demonstrating passion in the school and putting effort into everything she does. She also advises students to “really just make an effort in class, and your teachers will notice that.” She makes sure to treat everyone how she wants to be treated and connects with her fellow classmates and teachers around the school.
Raima Bera, a sophomore at WMC, was named September Student of the Month by her teachers for her kindness towards her peers and her effort put forth in school. Bera has advice for students trying to achieve this award. “I would say that I definitely put a lot of effort into getting good grades, and try to get involved beyond just grades, as well” Bera explained. “You can join clubs, you can volunteer for things, and try to set an example for other people. So, you should be social and respectful to all your peers. Honestly, just have a good attitude and respect your teachers as well” continued Bera. She is looking forward to the Student of the Month pizza party at the end of the year!
Lily Rowe, a freshman at WMC, was also named Student of the Month for showing passion here in the school. She made sure to show teachers that she cares about her work, is mindful of her behavior, and treats students with the respect that they deserve. She is also always trying her best in what she does. “I’m happy, and I feel honored that the teachers see me that way, and I’m gonna continue to do my best” Rowe stated. She also encourages students to make sure they participate in classes as much as possible because it really shows later on.
